Can picking at moles cause Skin Cancer?

I ask this, cause several years ago I was picking at this mole slightly cause it was annoying me, and I was pretty sure it was raising in size. As I said, this was quite a few years ago now, and everything is fine of what i know, but i was wondering, can picking at moles cause any type Of Skin Cancer?

No. I did the same with one of mine and I saw a consultant Dermatologist about it as I was concerned and he said it will not cause cancer. With moles, you basically need to look out for sudden changes in appearance and size, irregular borders, any bleeding or oozing and moles which are very dark or appear suddenly.
